What this scheme actually is
NLM develops entrepreneurship in animal husbandry by subsidising half the capital cost of a project, up to ₹50 lakh, across poultry, sheep and goat, piggery and fodder. It also runs a Startup Grand Challenge for innovation in the sector, and funds extension, R&D and innovation activities at 100% central assistance.

Who can apply
What you get
How to apply, step by step
- 1
Confirm your project category and the applicable subsidy ceiling
Poultry, sheep and goat, piggery and fodder each have distinct project norms.
- 2
Prepare a bankable DPR
The subsidy is credit-linked, so the project report must first satisfy a lender.
- 3
Apply on the NLM Udyamimitra portal
Applications are filed at nlm.udyamimitra.in and routed to a bank and the state department.
- 4
Complete the loan sanction and claim the subsidy
Subsidy is released against disbursement and verified project implementation.

Services this usually needs
No consultant can guarantee a sanction — that decision sits with the evaluating committee, bank or incubator. We commit to an honest eligibility view, an application built to the evaluator’s format, filing inside the window and a documented follow-up cadence. That is stated in every engagement letter we sign.
