What this scheme actually is
BioNEST creates the physical infrastructure biotech startups cannot afford to build: wet labs, specialised equipment, and the mentoring, IP, legal and regulatory guidance that comes with a serious bio-incubator. For founders, BioNEST centres are also the gateway to BIG, the BIRAC SEED Fund and LEAP — those schemes route through incubators, and BioNEST is the network they route through.

For founders: get into a BioNEST bio-incubator
This is the single most useful move an early biotech founder can make, because incubation is a precondition for BIG and the deployment channel for SEED and LEAP.

For institutions: apply online via BIRAC
Applications are submitted through the BioNEST page on the BIRAC portal.

Plan the lab and service model
The proposal is assessed on infrastructure plan, service capability and the startup pipeline you can attract.
