What this scheme actually is
BHARATI is APEDA's flagship initiative to push Indian agri-food innovation into export markets. It is not a cheque — it is acceleration: product development support, export readiness, regulatory and SPS compliance, and access to APEDA's ecosystem of industry bodies, state agricultural boards, universities and IITs. For a food or agritech company with global ambitions, the compliance and market-access support is the hard part BHARATI solves.

Get the export base in place
IEC registration, APEDA registration and FSSAI licensing at the right tier are prerequisites for meaningful participation, not afterthoughts.

Identify your track
Product innovation, export-enabling technology, or SPS solution — the application differs by track and so does the support you receive.

Apply through the BHARATI portal
Cohort applications are made at apeda.gov.in/bharati.

Work the compliance agenda during the cohort
Destination-market regulatory requirements, traceability and certification are the actual barriers to export. Use the cohort to clear them.

No consultant can guarantee a sanction — that decision sits with the evaluating committee, bank or incubator.
