Frequently Asked Questions
Is a separate AYUSH license required?
Yes. A separate AYUSH license is required under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act for AYUSH (Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathy) products. Regular allopathic drug licenses do not cover AYUSH products. The license is granted by the State AYUSH Department.
What is WHO-GMP and when is it required?
WHO-GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is an international standard for pharmaceutical manufacturing. For AYUSH exporters, most importing countries require WHO-GMP certification. State AYUSH authorities grant GMP certificates after physical factory inspection.
