What this scheme actually is

TIDE 2.0 is one of the most practical schemes for an early ICT startup because the ladder matches how products actually get built. Small money to prove the concept, a larger grant to build the prototype, and a substantial investment once there is something to take to market. It is delivered through incubators listed on the MeitY Startup Hub, and it targets emerging technologies applied to societal challenges.

What the scheme sets out to do

Create a holistic ecosystem for technology startups through financial and technical support
Support ICT startups using emerging technologies for societal challenges
Provide fellowship and grant support to entrepreneurs-in-residence at incubators

Who can apply

Information Technology based, DPIIT-recognised startups
Working in emerging technologies — AI, IoT, blockchain, robotics and similar areas
Engagement is through a TIDE 2.0 supported incubator

What you get

Up to ₹4 lakh for idea to proof of concept
Up to ₹7 lakh grant for prototype development
Up to ₹40 lakh investment for product development and market outreach
Incubation and technical mentoring through TIDE centres

How to apply, step by step

  1. 1

    Secure DPIIT recognition

It is an explicit eligibility condition for TIDE 2.0.

  2. 2

    Choose a TIDE incubator

MeitY Startup Hub lists incubators benefiting from TIDE 2.0. Assess them on domain focus and cohort timing.

  3. 3

    Enter at the right rung

Applying for ₹40 lakh with only an idea will fail. Enter at the stage you can evidence and climb the ladder.

  4. 4

    Apply to the incubator's cohort

Selection, funding and mentoring all run through the incubator, not MeitY.

  5. 5

Deliver each stage to unlock the next

The ladder is sequential in practice — a delivered prototype is what makes the ₹40 lakh conversation credible.

How Company Avenue Advisory helps

What we actually do on a TIDE 2.0 mandate

DPIIT recognition, filed and tracked before the cohort application
Incubator shortlisting and stage-appropriate application preparation
Financial projections for the ₹40 lakh product-and-market stage
Grant accounting and reporting across the staged releases

No consultant can guarantee a sanction — that decision sits with the evaluating committee, bank or incubator. We commit to an honest eligibility view, an application built to the evaluator’s format, filing inside the window and a documented follow-up cadence. That is stated in every engagement letter we sign.
